Frequently Asked Questions
"It is the type of song that will cause you to look down, rather than up." Barrett explains, "You look down to see what you're standing on. I love songs that make you look down at this relationship or that thing or that circumstance. God's in it all. It's not like God is up. He's here."

What doubts and fears do we have?
If I were to be asked, before, I have doubts and fear about my future such as, "what will happen to me if my parents died and I am not still in stable state?". But then, all glory and honor and praises belong to our Lord Jesus for assuring me that when I trust in Him, I will never sink in oceans of doubts and fears.
What is our purpose for being?
I believe our purpose for being to serve God alone. He created us in His own image, and how can we repay Him for all the things that He has done for us? Through service. We live to worship Jesus. It might be hard, but let us remember God's promise in Proverbs 19:21, "many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails."
Conclusion
Build My Life is a song that got my heart the very first time I heard it. In Luke 6:46-49, it says "And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Whosoever cometh to me and heareth my sayings and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great."
We should know by now that Christ is our only firm foundation and we can stand secure in Him. And if we trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding, in all our ways we must acknowledge Him and He will direct our paths. Man's heart is deceitful above all things, so we need God to guide us.
